Niall Horan has broken his silence on Zayn Malik’s decision to leave One Direction.
The Mullingar man took to Twitter yesterday to speak directly to fans about the singer’s shock announcement that he had left the chart-topping boyband with immediate effect, admitting that the aftermath of the news had been “mad”.
Been a mad few days and your support has been incredible as per usual ! This in turn Spurs us on to make the best music we possibly can

Meanwhile, it has been reported that Zayn will be staying with Syco Music as a solo artist following his split from the band.
“Simon [Cowell] was very understanding about him leaving the band but quickly made it clear he would stay a Syco artist for his future projects. He’ll now be able to make sure any releases are timed so they don’t clash with anything by One Direction,” said a source.
