Clive Goodman, former News Of The World Royal Editor, has admitted to hacking the phones of Prince William and Kate Middleton almost 200 times.
Goodman told the court today that he hacked the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge 190 times in total.
According to Sky News, Goodman admits to intercepting William’s phone 35 times, Kate’s 155 times and Prince Harry’s on nine occasions.
The 56-year-old is one of seven defendants on trial at the Old Bailey, all of whom deny the charges against them.
Goodman, who returned to court after a long period of absence due to illness, denied conspiring to commit misconduct in public office.
BBC News confirmed that the court heard how Goodman hacked Kate’s voicemail on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and St. Stephen’s Day in 2005. Prince William’s voicemail was first accessed in late January 2006.
On August 7th 2006, one day before his arrest over allegations of phone hacking, the former editor hacked the Duchess’ mobile for the last time.
