Actress Martine McCutcheon opted for a new hairdo, hours after she was declared bankrupt this week.
The former Eastenders star, 36, had a £1,000 (€1,160) set of IFT extensions added to her bob.
The makeover was carried out by experts using black hair sourced from Russian women, the Irish Sun reports.
Martine, who shot to fame as Tiffany Mitchell in Albert Square but is best known for her Love Actually role, was declared bankrupt this week at Kingston County Court, South West London.
She had the hair extensions fitted on Wednesday and tweeted about how pleased she was.
She tweeted to the Gold Hair Extensions company: “You cheered me up with your kindness and new luscious hair! Thanks for treating me and making me feel nice.”
The firm replied: “Looking fabulous. Our job was made easy as Martine is so lovely.”
Meanwhile, Martine has revealed how she has been the subject of abuse on Twitter since her money problems were revealed.
She married singer Jack McManus, 29, in Italy last year and tweeted everybody a Happy Valentines yesterday, despite receiving abuse on the online site.
