The news proved shocking: Ant McPartlin has entered into rehab as he battles addiction to prescription drugs and alcohol.
His long-term, on-screen sidekick Dec Donnelly has already publicly offered him his full support.
And now Ant’s wife, Lisa, has also spoken out.
Completely overwhelmed by all your love & support it means so much. I’m relieved he’s receiving the help he needs, we just need him better.

“Completely overwhelmed by all your love & support it means so much,” she wrote this afternoon on Twitter.
Ms Armstrong added: “I’m relieved he’s receiving the help he needs, we just need him better.”
The message already has 3,000 likes of support from Ant’s extended fan-base.
Lisa, 40, is a former dancer who met her husband at a Smash Hits concert 25 years ago – when Ant and Dec were PJ & Duncan.
They dated for 11 years before the TV presenter proposed in Dubai. They married in 2006 with, of course, Dec acting as best man.
Lisa is a respected makeup artist who now heads hair and makeup BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing.
Both have been honest about their struggles to start their family.
Thank you for all the kind messages and well wishes for the big fella. He will be touched. Your support is, as ever, much appreciated.

In a 2013 interview with Radio Times 41-year-old Ant explained: “Lisa and I would love to have kids. We’re trying. It’s tougher than you think when you get a bit older.”
In another interview from this year, Mr McPartlin also stated: “We would love to have a family so fingers crossed. If we’re blessed with children, then we’d be over the moon.”
