We’ve all been guilty of showing up to work the morning after a big night out feeling a little worse for wear, but what would you do if you had a morning radio show to present but didn’t want to stop partying?
Bring the party with you of course!
And that’s exactly what Radio 1 DJ Nick Grimshaw decided to do after the Brit Awards on Wednesday night.
The hungover host had spent the night party hopping with pals, attending both the Warner music after-party and the Universal event at swanky private members club Soho House, before heading back to his house with Harry Styles and a host of celebrity pals.
Nick and Harry then emerged from the DJ’s house at 6am to catch a cab to the radio station HQ before starting his breakfast show at 6.30am.
The partying pair posted snaps of themselves in the studio on Twitter
Whilst Nick had managed to swap his suit for a more comfortable tie-dye t-shirt and jeans, Harry was still wearing his party clothes from the night before.
And even though he managed to present the show, listeners were fully aware that the presenter was still drunk and took to Twitter to praise him and air their grievances.
One wrote : “@Harry_Styles @grimmers @R1Breakfast Harry try not to slur your words, it’s obviously you’re still drunk I’m laughing.”
Another impressed fan posted: “Radio gold on Radio 1 right now! @grimmers with a massively drunk/ hungover Harry Styles! Hilarious!”
A third listener Tweeted: “So let me get this straight: Did Harry turn up to the Nick Grimshaw breakfast show still in his suit and still drunk?”
And even Lily Allen joined in when she discovered her party pals were still going. She said: “You sound hammered still.”
But not everyone was so impressed by the duo’s post-party ramblings – as one listener admitted: “Having to turn off @R1Breakfast as listening to a drunk harry styles stumble through his performance is too cringey.Sort it out @grimmers.”
