Former Cake drummer Peter Ivan McNeal has been sentenced to 15 years prison to life, after being convicted of molesting a 3-year old girl.
The verdict was confirmed yesterday by Los Angeles County District Attorney’s office, following a guilty verdict in March 2013 against the musician of one count of oral copulation of a child 10 years old or younger.
The incident is believed to have taken place at a home in LA where McNeal was staying as a guest on Thanksgiving in 2009.
McNeal had previously been charged with a misdemeanour and sentenced to three years probation after being found guilty of an attempted molestation of a six-year-old while volunteering at a Los Angeles school. It is believed this took place only two weeks after the Thanksgiving offence.
As well as his prison sentence, the 48-year old must now also register as a sex offender for life.
