“I think I’m still floating on a fluffy cloud”
A Dublin mum, Paula Jones, has captured hearts across social media after being invited to join Adele on stage during a concert in Munich.
The mum-of-three described the experience as “surreal” and says she’s still “floating on a fluffy cloud”.
Paula, who headed along to the show at the Messe venue with her husband Frank, has been going viral online since her moment on stage.
The heart-warming exchange, which has now been viewed over six million times on social media, began when Adele invited Paula on stage.
Adele, clearly entertained by Paula’s energy, then said: “You are definitely the craziest fan I’ve ever had on stage.”
Paula then responded: “You know I’m Irish… I’m here with my husband Frank.”
Adele playfully quipped: “Frank from Ireland, I’ve got your crazy wife Paula up here with me.”
The lovely moment was broadcast on giant screens throughout the venue, and it seems hundreds of people captured the moment for social media.
Speaking to the Irish Mirror about the night, Paula said: “I think I’m still floating on a fluffy cloud, but, um, yes, I’m trying to control the adrenaline that is somewhat still in my body.
“It was just the most surreal experience ever, meeting my idol. Well, firstly, seeing her in concert live, but then picked out of 80,000 people to join her on stage. I mean, it’s a pinch-me moment.”
In one of the videos online, Paula can be seen bouncing up and down with excitement, and she says this was simply her “natural, honest reaction” to meeting Adele.
“She was like, my best buddy. She’s just so adorable. She’s so approachable. She’s a beautiful person. She’s so stunning, and like, you can have the crack with her.
“She loves having the banter. And I just hung out with her like she’s my best buddy,” Paula shared.
Paula then said that it was her eye-catching outfit and infectious energy were what caught Adele’s attention.
“I was jumping up and down in my sparkly outfit. So that’s when she said, ‘you in sparkly two piece, I want some of that energy’.”
