The couple, who met on the set of Coronation Street and have been together for eight years, both took to Twitter yesterday to reveal their good news.
Alan (best known for playing Tyrone Dobbs) wrote: “My wife @LucyJo_Hudson & I are very excited to announce that we are expecting our 1st child. Xx We are both over the moon! Xxx”.
Corrie character Tyrone Dobbs became a father for the first time recently as well.
Lucy-Jo echoed her other half's sentiments tweeting: “Thank you for your beautiful messages! @alanhalsall and I are so excited x I can’t wait to be mummy xxx”.
