‘I didn’t back myself enough’ – Molly-Mae opens up about Maebe launch after backlash

Sophie Collins

Molly-Mae has apologised to fans of her Maebe clothing line after the new launch was met with a number of teething issues.

The collection, which proved to be a complete success, selling out in a matter of minutes consisted of co-ords, tops, blazers, jeans and more.

As shoppers began to receive their items, more and more controversy began to spark online among customers who claimed to be disappointed with their deliveries.

Among the issues were frustration over the stock being gone so quickly, with one person describing it as a “game of whoever can type the fastest,” while others expected more from the quality of the clothing in line with its pricing.

Molly-Mae has now responded to frustrated customers and completely agreed with their frustrations over the stock selling out so fast.

“I couldn’t agree with you more on the stock front, it’s really frustrating,” she said.

“Unfortunately, I just didn’t back myself enough when we planned these quantities a very long time ago.

“I promise you this is something I am in total agreement with you on and it’s something that in the New Year we will improve upon now that we have an understanding of the demand.

“I’m really sorry you feel let down – I’m learning as I go and will make this a better buying experience for you as soon as I can.”

Despite the backlash that was rolling in off the back of the launch, there were many fans of Molly-Mae’s who were praising their experience and the quality of clothing they received.

ON person said: “The prices aren’t even bad, she’s selling nice quality basics you’ll have for years, not €3 Shein tops.”

Another simply said: “If you don’t like the price, then simply don’t buy.”

While a third added: “The material of the clothing is very high end , you could feel the quality when we went into the pop up store.”
