Model Holly Carpenter Reveals the Secret Behind Her Fab Figure… Hitting The Gym

So it's not exactly what we wanted to hear (we'd prefer if the secret was eating chocolate) but it does show that a combination of healthy eating and regular exercise is key to looking and feeling good.

Model Holly Carpenter has revealed that her weight loss over the last six months has been down to hitting the gym with her personal trainer.

The 21-year-old beauty has reportedly lost a stone in weight but she hasn’t been counting calories. She has simply been doing a mixture of circuit training and weights according to the Irish Independent.

Holly, who is with Andrea Roche’s model agency, explained to the publication that she has turned into a bit of a gym bunny recently: “I’ve been going in every day from Monday to Friday and then sometimes I might go twice a day if I have time.

“Then on Saturday mornings, I’ve been going to Yoga classes just to stretch out the muscles, so it’s been going great,” she added.

The former Miss Ireland, who is currently dating rugby star Cian Healy, says that her personal trainer Sophie gave her some very valuable advice.

“Sophie kept telling me to ignore the scales and just concentrate on the exercise and it’s really worked… It’s great to feel confident in whatever I’m wearing and know that I look toned.”

The model said her other half Cian has helped her a great deal.

She also explained that going out with a sportsman helps: “It’s so good that I’m with someone like him as we’d encourage each other and it’s not like we’re sitting in all the time ordering take-always together.”

While hitting the gym five days a week sounds like tough work, we’re certainly glad to hear that Holly hasn’t embarked on some bizarre diet to tone up.
