Moby gets ‘animal rights’ tattooed on arms to show he cares about animals rights

Just in case there was any doubt.

Moby has gotten the words “animal rights” tattooed up his arms because he cares about animal rights.

And also because he’s been a vegan for almost 40 years this month.

Fair play to him.

The iconic DJ revealed his latest vegan-based tattoo on Instagram this week, adding the pointed ink to his recent neck tattoo that reads: “Vegan for life.”

This is it.

“As November is my 32 year vegan anniversary I thought I’d get a tattoo (well, technically 12 tattoos) to celebrate,” Moby said on Instagram.

“I’m a vegan animal rights activist for many reasons, but ultimately because I believe at the core of my being that every animal has the right to live their own life, according to their own will.”

Moby finished off his post by thanking tattoo artist Kat Von D and including the hashtag ‘#veganforlife.’

The 54-year-old musician debuted his first vegan tattoo earlier this year, saying that he wanted to commit to the ink as much as he had already committed to a vegan lifestyle.

“I’ve been a vegan for almost 32 years, so getting this tattoo seemed like a pretty safe bet,” he said.

“Also, working for animal rights and animal liberation is my life’s work. And to state the obvious, it’s a double entendre…thank you.”

Moby became a vegan in 1987 after becoming inspired by his rescue cat, Tucker.

He has since promoted the importance of animal welfare, protested against climate change, and even opened his own vegan restaurant in LA, Little Pine.
