Millie Bobby Brown says Stranger Things prevents her from pursuing ‘passions’

'Stranger Things' introduced us to Millie Bobby Brown, but she's ready for a change.

"When you're ready, you're like, 'All right, let's do this. Let's tackle this last senior year. Let's get out of here,'" Millie said in an interview with Glamour.

"'Stranger Things' takes up a lot of time to film and it’s preventing me from creating stories that I’m passionate about. So I'm ready to say, 'Thank you, and goodbye.'"

While the 19-year-old acknowledges that appearing on the Duffer Brothers' hit series is what skyrocketed her into the public eye, she's not going to mourn the conclusion explaining "When it ends, I'm going to be able to still see these people".

And while Millie is grateful for the friends she made and the opportunities that 'Stranger Things' afforded her, she admits in the early days it was hard as she faced criticism for speaking over her cast mates in interviews.

"It's hard to hear that at 12. You’re like, 'I don’t want to ever talk again. I don't want to be the loud person,'" she said before adding, "In interviews, I couldn't help but think of all the comments. So I just remembered to stay silent and speak when I was spoken to, even though I was dying to join in. I just felt it wasn’t my turn."

Despite her commitment to Stranger Things the actress has been able to achieve a lot outside of the show, after ghostwriting and releasing her debut novel Nineteen Steps, and has her own beauty line called Florence by Mills.

On top of this, Millie got engaged to her fiance Jake Bongiovi, son of Jon Bon Jovi.
