Speaking on Jimmy Kimmel Live! the 32-year-old singer revealed she ended up in the ICU over Thanksgiving last year.
Cyrus contracted a brutal infection that left her leg ‘disintegrating’.
The Climb singer revealed that she sustained the injury while rolling around on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
She explained that she was shooting a music video for her visual album Something Beautiful, which is being released this Friday, May 30.
“I caught something,” she said to Kimmel.
“My leg began to disintegrate… around the kneecap area. And then the doctor goes, ‘Do you have any idea why you would have such a brutal infection on your kneecap?’
“I had to tell him,” she told the talk-show host.
“To have a surgeon look at you and say, ‘Yuck…’ They open up cadavers. They see inside the guts of humans, and they’re looking at me, telling me I’m disgusting. And they do brain operations!”
The three-time Grammy winner asked Kimmel: “Have you been to the Walk of Fame in the middle of the night?” before joking, ‘I thought it was my last day.’
