Michael Jackson was convinced that his chimpanzee Bubbles was a great judge of character and could tell when a member of the Jackson family wanted to sponge off the star.

The singer, who died in 2009, reportedly barred family members from visiting his Neverland Ranch when Bubbles believed them to be after his cash.

According to The Irish Sun, a former housekeeper of the star piped up yesterday about the strange insticts of the monkey.

She said: “Bubbles often would be a gauge for Michael to decide who should stay and who should go.”

The housekeeper said Bubbles would have a dramatic reaction to people he did not like and Michael would trust the monkey’s instincts.

Brothers Jermaine and Randy were said to be among those regularly snubbed.

Meanwhile, the Jackson family feud continues and the safety of Michael’s children Paris, Prince and Blanket has been called into question after a fight reportedly broke out between Paris and Michael’s sister Janet two weeks ago.

Yesterday, 14-year-old Paris took to her Twitter page to tell her fans about a tattoo she is planning.
