Michael Fassbender’s original career plan was very different from acting

When we were younger, we all had different dreams of what we wanted to be when we grew up.

When I was just a babby Rebecca I dreamed of being a singer, an actress, a nurse and most randomly a nun. We all had silly - or very real ones that a few of us actually followed in life - dreams when we were much younger and it seems celebrities are no different. One actor in particular who has revealed what his original career dreams were is our very own Michael Fassbender. Speaking to RedBulletin, the actor confessed that before acting became his passion, playing in a band was his first dream in a bid to find fame.

"My original plan was to play guitar in a heavy metal band. I practised two hours a day, every day when I came home from school."

However, after seeing a friend play music much better he did, he decided to follow a different path.

"And then my friend came around with his guitar one day and he blew me out of the room. I was like: ‘He’s got what it takes, I don’t. "But around that same time I did some acting classes. Most of the things I was participating in at school, including sports, I was average at. "...With this, I had an affinity with it. I felt I could express myself."

Well there you go. I certainly can't imagine him playing as a heavy metal rocker, can you?
