Mel B is apparently “livid” after fresh allegations were made against her husband Stephen Belafonte.
This week The Sun newspaper reported that the authorities were looking into a case of false imprisonment after it was alleged that Stephen held the singer hostage.
A representative for Mel has since denied the claims, stating: “(She) did not make these allegations and is adamant they are totally untrue. She will be telling the police they are completely false.”
Someone close to the former Spice Girl also spoke out, telling The Mirror that she’s not pleased about the recent allegations.
They revealed: “Mel is absolutely livid… She can only assume someone is determined to wreck her marriage. But she won’t let them.”
At the end of last year the couple’s marriage came under scrutiny after The X Factor judge was rushed to hospital and was spotted with bruises on her arms.
Since then they have been putting on a united front and appear to have gotten their relationship back on track.
