Now it’s official.
We all guessed Meghan Markle would be leaving Suits. Between her body double on the show posting well wishes, her move to England and now her engagement to Prince Harry, the official statement only seemed imminent.
USA Network has now confirmed that our beloved character Rachel Zane will be leaving Suits after season seven which has just wrapped up filming.
In the statement, USA Network, producers of the hit television show said:
“Following the news of Meghan Markle’s engagement to Prince Harry, the beloved Suits star will depart from USA’s legal drama at the end of season seven, which returns to the network in early 2018.”
They continued…
“From all of us at USA Network and Universal Cable Productions, we want to send our most heartfelt congratulations to Meghan Markle and Prince Harry on their engagement. Meghan has been a member of our family for seven years and it has been a joy to work with her. We want to thank her for her undeniable passion and dedication to Suits, and we wish her the very best.”
On-screen romance Patrick J Adams who plays Mike Ross in the show also shared the news, tweeting the confirmation with the caption “so… no milk?”

This follows his first tweet, where the Canadian star tweeted her engagement news, making a joke that he thought she was only popping out for milk.

Many of Meghan’s co-stars are devastated to see her go but wish her every success and happiness in her marriage. Director Aaron Korsh shared his well wishes.

Meghan was an original cast member in the show appearing in 103 episodes since it first aired in June 2011.
While she will be stepping away from TV roles, Meghan will continue to further her passion for humanitarian work in England alongside fiancé, Prince Harry.
