Perry’s nasty comments about Meghan Markle’s wedding dress have caused quite a stir online.
Katy Perry has become one of the latest celebrities to make cruel jibes at Meghan Markle. An interview from 2018 resurfaced online after the singer performed at the Coronation concert and she had some pretty harsh things to say about Meghan Markle’s wedding dress.
During a 2018 interview with Access Hollywood, the singer said the Princess of Wales had a nicer wedding dress. She said Markle should’ve gone for one more fitting before her big day.

She quipped, “I would’ve done one more fitting.”
The Firework singer continued, “Kate won. Kate won. I’m sorry, I’m never not going to tell the truth. One more fitting, but I love you.”
She may have made the comments over five years ago, but the remarks have caused quite a stir online with many people slating Perry for being so unnecessarily nasty.
One user wrote: “I want to remind you that May 19th,2018 was the day of Meghan, Duchess of Sussex’s wedding, not a day of competition with someone. She chose the dresses to wed the man he loves, not to please someone.”
Another said, “They both wore beautiful wedding dresses. And Kate’s sister Pippa’s bridesmaid dress was also really simple and beautiful. Why not just leave it? They both looked lovely.”
“By the way, having fashion opinions is totally ok but only if they’re expressed politely,” another pointed out.
Meghan Markle wore a beautiful off-the-shoulder Givenchy gown for her 2018 wedding. Following her and Prince Harry’s wedding ceremony, the bride changed into a stunning halterneck Stella McCartney gown.
