Meghan Markle is being compared to Lady Diana for her chic outfit tonight

She may not even be a princess (yet) but she's undoubtedly the queen of the power suit.

Meghan Markle has just stepped out in another stunning suit that's making us want to ditch our jeans for something much smarter. The Duchess of Sussex is attending the WellChild awards at Royal Lancaster Hotel in London this evening. The charity, of which Prince Harry is a patron, supports seriously ill children and their families. Meghan accompanied her husband to the event in a sharp black Altuzarra tux, complimenting the look with a blouse by Deitas, simple black heels, a black and gold clutch and her signature low, messy bun. She's also wearing her diamond and pearl earrings that were gifted to her by the queen - but she's being likened to another royal tonight. Fans reckon that Meghan's suit is very like one worn by the woman who would have been her mother-in-law, Princess Diana, over 20 years ago. Diana, who was just as fond of power-dressing as Meghan is, wore a similar ensemble while boarding a plane to New York at Heathrow Airport in 1996.

We're loving Meghan's suits but it would appear that not everyone is such a fan. It turns out that the queen prefers women not to wear pants and that Meghan can't get her head around it. The Duchess "has found certain rules in the royal household difficult to understand, like the fact that the Queen prefers women in dresses or skirts rather than trouser suits, and is often asking Harry why things have to be done in a certain way," a source told People. "I think she finds it a little frustrating at times, but this is her new life, and she has to deal with it."
