Max George and Maisie Smith finally open up about their 13 year age gap

Max George and Maisie Smith have opened up about their 13 year age gap for the first time since the two began dating. The 34 year old The Wanted singer began dating the 21 year old EastEnders actress over the summer after the two first met on the set of Strictly Come Dancing back in 2020. After growing closer on the Strictly tour, they officially took their relationship to the next level and have been inseparable ever since. They have since moved in together and speaking about their relationship, and specifically their huge gap, Maisie told Hello Magazine: "People ask me: ‘Do you notice it?’ and I never have. We’re so like-minded. I’ve got friends in their 30s and 40s. You connect with who you connect with.” Max added: “It never enters my mind. Maisie has already done so many things that I’m in awe of – I look up to her.” Despite sparking engagement rumours, a source close to the couple told The Sun that they are not getting married any time soon but are completely "smitten" with each other. Max cemented the relationship recently after he debuted a tattoo tribute to Maisie as he got half of her face put on his body. The pair were first spotted on a flight to Crete together for a romantic getaway. A passenger told The Sun at the time that the couple was all over each other during the flight. "They looked like a very loved-up couple — they were all over each other for the entire four-hour flight. “We recognised Maisie at first. They were both wearing sunglasses even on the plane and Max was also wearing a red bucket hat, so it looked like they were trying to be a bit incognito. “They are definitely an item."
