Our Longford queen continues to put Ireland on the map.
Maura Higgins has revealed an exciting career opportunity that could see the Love Island USA social media host break into Hollywood.
The Longford native, who returned briefly to London from Fiji, shared with her 3.8 million followers that she is about to make her acting debut.
The 32-year-old posted a picture from her flight of a script, ensuring not to give away what her acting role is.
“Today I’m going to be an actress,” she wrote.
“btw [sic] I have never acted in my life so this will be very interesting.”
While we may have to wait to find out exactly when the Longford lady’s acting debut is, she did share earlier that she had been in talks with a number of TV studios in the US, so it’s safe to assume she’s on the right people’s radars.
Maura spent some time in Hollywood before the summer and had been updating her fanbase on her whereabouts.
In one Instagram story, the model shared she was sitting in an NBCUniversal boardroom writing, ‘BIG DAY,’ and tagged the mass media and entertainment conglomerate corporation, which is known for overseeing brands such as Peacock and Dream Works, among many others.
Knowing Maura, whether this acting opportunity is in TV or film, she is absolutely going to leave her mark.
The TV personality made her name on the UK version of Love Island back in 2019, solidifying herself as Love Island royalty for her golden one-liners and no-holds-barred humour.
Since then, she has gone on to try her hand at multiple roles in the industry, including TV presenting, fashion lines, modelling, and, most recently, as Love Island’s first ever social host.
