Maura Higgins said she had the best three weeks of her life
Former Love Island star Maura Higgins has opened up about her experience on I’m A Celeb.
She admitted that she didn’t expect the show to have such a deep impact on her life, but said she made friends for life during her three weeks in the jungle.
The Irish star said her time on the show also helped her realise that she is far tougher than she ever thought she was.
She told her followers: “If you ask me about my time in the jungle i’ll say it was so much fun, but if you ask me on a deeper level I’ll say it was the best 3 weeks of my life, physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually.
She continued: “I was so lucky to have met my incredible campmates who are all now my friends for life, and I couldn’t have done it without each and every one of them.”
Maura added: “I’ve learnt that I’m a lot tougher than I think (although spiders still terrify me!) and I am so grateful for each and every person (all 750 of them!) that worked on this incredible show.”
Higgins said being part of I’m A Celeb was an experience of a lifetime.
She may not have won the show but viewers all agreed that Maura showed a completely different side to herself during the show.
Higgins surprised many viewers with her wit and genuine charm, leaving many admitting that they had judged her too quickly.
