Nick Munier has spoken out about the end of his 10-year marriage to Denise McBrien.
The MasterChef Ireland star has revealed that he blames himself for the split and that fame changed him.
Munier has risen to fame with MasterChef Ireland and Hell’s Kitchen.
Speaking to the Irish Independent, the father-of-three said: “This is the biggest pain I have ever experienced in my life.
“I have been holding it inside for months now and I feel it is time to let it out, to put a few things on the record.”
He also owns Pichet restaurant in Dublin.
He added: “I love the limelight. I find it so alluring… I love being adored and I jumped at the chance to be on television… I loved everything about being recognised everywhere… Mine is a story of regret… I lost sight of the things that mattered.”
Munier, who is the co-owner of Pichet restaurant in Dublin and also appears in Hell’s Kitchen, is said to be undergoing therapy to help him cope with the situation.
