Martha Stewart won’t let age define her fashion choices.

The beloved TV cook silenced her critics while attending the Fashion Group International Night of Stars gala in New York.

When asked a question about dressing for your age by ‘The New York Post’s Page Six‘ she clapped back in spectacular fashion.

“Dressing for whose age?” Martha asked the reporter with a laugh, “I’ve dressed the same since I was 17.”

“If you look at my pictures on my Instagram, I look pretty much the same. I don’t think about age. I think people are more and more and more [fabulous] than they’ve ever been in their senior years, and I applaud every one of them.”

Martha was dressed up to the nines for the event wearing a sequin bouclé suit, which she completed with a boxy blazer featuring a flower appliqué on the shoulder and a wide-leg jumpsuit.

It’s clear that the 82-year-old doesn’t care much for other’s opinions on her appearance as she made history as the oldest woman on the cover of Sports Illustrated’s annual swimsuit edition.

Speaking to the ‘Today Show’ about gracing the iconic magazine’s cover she said: “To be on the cover [at] my age was a challenge, and I think I met the challenge.”

“For me, it is a testament to good living. And I think that all of us should think about good living, successful living and not about aging. The whole aging thing is so boring.”
