Marnie Simpson promotes diet pills hours before pregnancy news and fans aren’t happy

She's receiving a lot of backlash.

Geordie Shore's Marnie Simpson is in hot water at the moment for promoting Skinny Caffe diet pills just hours before her pregnancy news broke. The star who took to her Instagram spoke about how people are loosing up to 7lbs with the capsules saying:

"I wanted to do a video guys about these weight loss capsules that everyone's being using recently.

"They are weight loss approved from the EFSA and people have been losing up to 7lbs in seven days on these."

The backlash came quickly after the OK! Magazine interview broke and fans realised that she had just been talking about diet pills hours previously. Skinny Caffe also chimmed in, telling the Mail Online that they were unaware that Marnie was even pregnant.

"I can confirm we was not aware Marnie was pregnant until some of our followers informed us today.  It’s not something we was made aware of at the start of the campaign which we started last week."

Fans took to the comments to call Marnie "clueless" and "silly" saying that some followers could easily believe she's taking weight loss supplements while pregnant. The comments have now been disabled. Marnie has yet to comment on the promotion but this isn't her first time promoting weight loss supplements on her feed as she has with gummies and skinny hot chocolate. Marnie and her boyfriend, Union J member, Casey Johnson are pregnant with their first child due October 16th. Speaking to OK!, the pair revealed that they thought about starting a family at the end of 2018 and so, are thrilled to be pregnant with their first child.
