A man who was allegedly “obsessed” with former EastEnders star Brooke Kinsella has been jailed.
Paul Mason reportedly told the soap star “you will be my wife” and followed her to a number of public events. He allegedly also left a number of messages on her answering machine and sent her numerous gifts.
According to reports, Mr. Mason (44) also sent the actress text messages and turned up at her place of work.
“Your wedding dress is ready pumpkin” along with “I will be coming down Saturday to see you and the kids” were some of the messages that were sent to Brooke.
Mr. Mason was arrested in April of last year.
“I had been given a warning from the Home Office about him which really frightened me,” Brooke told Bromley Magistrates Court.
“The whole thing was just really worrying,” she continued. “Without having been told by the police to be vigilant I might not have been so worried about it.
“I don’t know what he’s capable of. I feel anxious about giving evidence.”
Mr. Mason was jailed for 26 weeks and was given a restraining order.
