The couple has been dating since last summer.
Maisie Smith was left red-faced on Sunday night’s episode of The Chase Celebrity Special as her boyfriend Max Geroge decided to jokingly get down on one knee.
The couple made show history last night as the first couple to take part, but host Bradley Walsh didn’t seem to know the two were an item.
Ahead of Max’s turn to take on the Chaser, Bradley realised the two knew each other and said: “OK, how do you know each other?” before quickly asking: “Have you been out together?”
Trying to explain their situation and that they have in fact been dating since last summer, Max said: “It’s sort of going on at the minute.”
After figuring out what was going on, Bradley turned to Maisie, asking: “So erm, when’s the big day?”

This was when Max saw the perfect opportunity to wind Maisie up, replying: “Funny you mention it, er…” as he pretended to reach for a ring from his pocket.
While Maisie played along and got very emotional, fanning herself and looking extremely shocked, she eventually got her revenge.
Later in the show, Bradley said: “If you had kids of your own, would you then guide them into show business? Do you think that’s a good thing?”
Maisie jumped at the chance to turn to Max and say: “Well, Max, what do you think?”
Not being able to hold in her laughter, she was giggling as her boyfriend turned around on his swivel chair trying his hardest not to make eye contact.
The 34 year old The Wanted singer began dating the 21 year old EastEnders actress over the summer after the two first met on the set of Strictly Come Dancing back in 2020.
After growing closer on the Strictly tour, they officially took their relationship to the next level and have been inseparable ever since.
