Louise Thompson defends comments that she never liked brother’s ex Zara McDermott

Sam Thompson and Zara McDermott broke up just before Christmas

Thompson joined her brother Sam on a recent episode of the Made in Chelsea star's podcast, Staying Relevant.

On it, they asked her to describe who would be her brother's "ideal partner".

“I’d love for you to try dating someone that has a normal job, that’s outside of the media space. I think that could be exciting," his sister shared.

“You definitely need somebody that slightly puts you in your place, so who’s gonna talk back to you, and not let you get away with everything.”

“If you’re going to go down the fame route, can you just find someone that I would get along with. I’m thinking young British actress,” Louise said.

She even suggested someone like Emma Watson would be a great match for her brother.

Their conversation on Sam's "ideal partner" was posted to Instagram, where one person suggested Louise wasn't fond of her brother's ex, Zara McDermott:

"I don’t think Louise really ever liked Zara… don’t blame her," they commented.

Louise Thompson replied to the comment as debates on her feelings towards his ex were happening:

"I have to interject here. I actually really adored Zara," she commented.

Sam Thompson confirmed in April that he’s dating again following his split from Zara McDermott.

The couple ended their five-year relationship just before Christmas.

Sam was left completely heartbroken following the breakdown of their relationship, but he has started dating again.

Zara McDermott and musician Louis Tomlinson are confirmed to be in a relationship.

Louis Tomlinson subtly revealed the two were together in May this year.
