Lisa Bonet has filed for divorce from Jason Momoa

The former couple have been separated for two years. Now, Lisa has decided to make things official by filing the paperwork, according to TMZ.

According to the documents, she and the 44-year-old actor have been separated since October 2020, which was just two months after he made a show about restoring a 1965 Mustang as a gift to her.

Though they had been separated for a while, Lisa and Jason didn’t announce it to the public until January 2022.

Lisa requested joint physical and legal custody of their two children Lola and Nakoa-Wolf and isn’t requesting spousal support from her former husband.

On top of this, the actress wrote that the division of their assets and properties is “agreed between the parties,” suggesting that they may have a prenuptial agreement in place to guide the dissolution of their marriage.

When Lisa and Jason split, it shocked fans as the two met in 2005, fell in love and just two years later they welcomed their first baby.

The two seemed to be going strong and after a decade together they decided to make their relationship professional as well.

The former couple appeared together in ‘Road To Paloma’, a film Jason wrote, directed and produced.

Later in October 2017, Jason and Lisa tied the knot in Topanga, California with a low-key ceremony.

Despite the big step, the ‘Game Of Thrones’ star suggested that their vows were just a formality as they had been together for years and had started their family.

“You know what, I’ve been married to my wife for 12 years. It’s just a gathering of our families and celebrating our love,” he told ET later in 2017.

As they first indicated in a joint statement when they announced the split, they’re “freeing each other to be who we are learning to become”.
