Leighton Meester just went for a massive hair change and we’re getting serious Gossip Girl vibes

When a new season arrives, many of Hollywood's most famous faces opt to switch things up with their hair. Whether it's going for the chop; going much, much longer or switching up their colour, it feels like there's always a new 'do on show. The latest famous face to switch things up is Leighton Meester, who is giving us some serious Blair Waldorf vibes. Over the last little while, the actress has been experimenting with different shades of blonde: from an icy platinum to a warmer hue. However, thanks to her colourist Justin Anderson and stylist Desiree Gomez, Meester is now back to looking like the former queen of Constance Billard. Well, kind of. The 33-year-old's hair is now back to warm, chocolate-y brown shade - and its giving us some serious hair inspo. It comes as it was recently revealed a Gossip Girl reboot was finally happening. WarnerMedia's upcoming streaming service HBO Max has ordered a 10-episode first season. Much like the original series, the rebooted Gossip Girl would be based on the book by Cecily von Ziegesar. The description for the series reads:

"Eight years after the original website went dark, a new generation of New York private school teens are introduced to the social surveillance of Gossip Girl. The prestige series will address just how much social media — and the landscape of New York itself — has changed in the intervening years."

There has been no premiere date set for the series just yet, but HBO Max is reportedly set to launch in 2020. So we've still got a little while to wait.
