Laura Says It’s Harder for Women to Get ‘To The Top’

The MTV presenter has that she thinks it is more difficult for women than men to succeed in the world of television and work in general.

Her.ie contributor Laura Whitmore has spoken out about the fact that it is harder for women than men to make it in any profession.

The television presenter believes that women have to work harder to succeed, especially in the world of television.

“There’s not enough women on TV or for that matter in any job. The media is a difficult industry to get into,” she told the Irish Daily Mail.

The 27 year old also added: “It’s difficult for women to make it to the top. Women have to work ten times harder to make it.”

In saying that MTV presenter Laura has done rather well for herself so far. In fact she is getting ready to head off to Australia to shoot the spin-off show for Ant and Dec’s I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here.

 

Laura is presenting the spin-off for Ant and Dec’s popular show.

However the girl from County Wicklow admitted that there is a lot more she wants to do, including hosting a live show.

She explained: “TV is a funny world. It’s constantly evolving. There are shows that don’t exist now that I could be presenting in the future.”
