Kim Kardashisan’s Met Gala Dress Was Inspired By A Pop Star (But It Wasn’t Beyoncé)

The reality TV star had someone else in mind.

Kim Kardashian attended the annual Met Gala last night wearing a Roberto Cavalli dress designed by Peter Dundas.

Pictured above, the white full-length gown featured sheer panels, intricate beading and feather detail and as always, Kim made quite the statement.

It received a huge reaction online and it wasn’t long before people began comparing it to Beyoncé’s dress for the 2012 gala which also featured sheer panels and feathered detail.

However, an Instagram post from Kim reveals that she had someone else in mind when dressing for the big event, none other than 80s pop star Cher.

Pre Gala, she posted the below photo with the caption:”Tonight’s inspiration! Cher at the 1st ever Met Gala!

“I just met her and told her this photo was my inspiration for my dress tonight! She is so beautiful! So happy I met her!”
