Kim Kardashian and Pete Davidson reunite at last night’s Met Gala

We just want them back together.

You read that right, for the first time in nearly a year, Pete Davidson and Kim Kardashian reunited during the 2023 Met Gala. The elaborate ball for the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute in New York occurred last night and with Kim and Pete both receiving invites, they were bound to have an awkward encounter. The two dated for nine months before calling it quits last August and now seem to have put any bad blood behind them as they were spotted smiling and laughing together last night. Kim arrived at the Met in a custom Schiaparelli haute couture design by Daniel Roseberry which consisted of more than 50,000 freshwater pearls and 16,000 crystal pearls. Speaking on the carpet, Kim told Vogue: "I wanted pearls. I thought, ‘What is more Karl?’ You know, the iconic Chanel pearls is what I always thought of. So we wanted to just be dripping in pearls". While we may never know what Kim and Pete discussed during their chat at the Met (unless Usher spills the beans), we do know the two were on good terms, even before this. A source told Entertainment Tonight that they're talking again despite going their separate ways. They shared: "Pete and Kim still keep in touch. "It wasn’t a bad fallout or breakup, so things are good between them and they’ve remained in contact". A source told E! News that they’ve decided to be friends instead. Kim and Pete still have "a lot of love and respect for each other". However, the pair struggled to cope with their long-distance relationship as Pete is currently filming in Australia. Sources say they found the distance too hard to deal with. Their demanding schedules also "made it really difficult to maintain a relationship".
