Killing Me Softly: Taylor Swift Reveals Her Latest Song Is A Direct Dig At Former Flame

Revenge is a great way to get over heartbreak. For most girls a break-up involves a rant to friends, buying a new pair of killer heels and Jennifer Aniston movies on repeat but for Taylor Swift, penning a revealing song helps her make her ex-boyfriends feel bad about themselves.

The country singer is known for singing about her ex-boyfriends and says she doesn’t feel bad about it because they deserve it for the way they treated her and has revealed that her hit record ‘We are never getting back together’ is a direct dig at a former flame.

Speaking to newspaper USA today the singer says “I made a song that I knew would absolutely drive him crazy when he heard it on the radio. Not only would it hopefully be played a lot, so that he’d have to hear it, but it’s the opposite of the kind of music that he was trying to make me feel inferior to. I did that because that’s fun.”

The county star looks like butter wouldn’t melt

But the 22 year old who is now dating Connor Kennedy of the famous Kennedy clan also admits that although her heartbreak has given her great inspiration for her hit songs, she’d much prefer to be happy. “I can say I’d honestly rather be happy than have 30 to 40 songs that I’ve written about these thrilling, exciting, horrible, unhappy times. I know red flags, and I steer away from them, because I have a priority on being happy.”

Previous conquests include Jake Gyllenhaal, John Mayer, Taylor Lautner and Joe Jonas (although we’re sure his purity ring stayed firmly in place during their short courtship) so we can only speculate who Taylor is referring to but we’re pretty sure Katy Perry’s next tune is going to have a scorned woman vibe to it.
