Italian magazine Chi today printed intimate pictures of a pregnant Kate Middleton enjoying a break abroad with her husband, William.
St James’ Palace has condemned the publication of the bikini shots of the Duchess of Cambridge.
On Tuesday the magazine, owned by Italian former president Silvio Berlusconi, promised intimate images of the 31 year-old as she holidayed on the island of Mustique recently.
They said they’ll print, “extraordinary images of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge during their dream holiday in the Caribbean.”
“The future mum, now in her fourth month of pregnancy, wears a small bikini that enhances her now visible bump,” they added.
The magazine will has hit stands today with Kate visible on the front cover and it has already been printed online. It will show off for the first time the 31 year-old’s baby bump, which has been so far concealed.
A St. James’ Palace spokesman told EntertainmentWise the decision to publish the image was a “clear break of privacy”.
They said: “We are disappointed that photographs of the Duke and Duchess on a private holiday look likely to be published overseas. This is a clear breach of the couple’s right to privacy.”
The images are believed to have been taken recently while the Duchess holidayed with her family and husband Prince William. The couple are said to be on a public beach, according to the Daily Mail.
The invasion of privacy comes just a few months after the same magazine printed topless photos of Kate while on holiday in the South of France.
