Kate Middleton and Prince William conducted an official royal engagement via video call yesterday.

The royal couple chatted to the pupils and staff of Casterton Primary Academy which has remained open as many of the children’s parents are essential workers.

Located in Burnley, the children appeared via video link wearing Easter bunny ears,  and showing the Duke and Duchess pictures they had drawn of their parents.

The wholesome content we need right now.

Kate and William were keen to show their support for the staff who are involved in keeping things going at Caserton and indeed the other UK schools which have remained open to take care of children during the Covid-19 crisis.

Sharing clips and snaps from the video call on the official Kensington Palace Instagram account, a short statement read:

“Teachers across the UK are dedicating their time to keeping schools open for the children of key workers and vulnerable children.

“The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge called teachers and school staff at Casterton Primary Academy to thank them for their hard work and dedication – and to wish the children a very Happy Easter”.

According to reports, Kate and William have also been calling members of the NHS personally to express their gratitude for everything they’re doing at this time.
