The Princess of Wales paid tribute to both Princess Diana and Queen Elizabeth.
The Princess of Wales paid tribute to Princess Diana during King Charles’ Coronation on Saturday, May 6th. The mum-of-three wore a white Alexander McQueen gown to the ceremony at Westminster Abbey, but people couldn’t help but notice the poignant accessories she chose to wear on the special day.
The Princess of Wales donned earrings that once belonged to her mother-in-law, Princess Diana. Diana wore the earrings throughout the 1990s and Kate took them out of storage for the momentous occasion.
She also paid tribute to the late Queen Elizabeth by wearing the monarch’s George VI Festoon Necklace. The late King George VI commissioned the necklace for Elizabeth in 1950.

Royal fans praised the Princess of Wales for paying tribute to Diana.
One said, “I believe Diana POW would be very pleased and delighted to see how beautifully the entire family presented.”
Another added, “That was a nice jester even for her.”
“Princess Kate and Princess Charlotte stole the show! They both looked stunning. Noticeably, the Spencers weren’t invited to the coronation, despite having a long connection with the royal family. Still, Kate made sure Diana wasn’t forgotten by wearing earrings,” another added.
