Kanye West has finally spoken out about his actions at Sunday night’s Grammys.

West ‘jokingly’ stormed the stage as Beck picked up the accolade for ‘Best Album of the Year’, which caused somewhat of a frenzy online.

After the award ceremony, the ‘Black Skinhead‘ singer did himself no favours by suggesting that Beck should have given his award to Beyoncé, (because things like that happen).

Today, the rapper joined On Air With Ryan Seacrest and when asked about just what sparked him to get up from his seat and storm the stage, he blamed the ‘voices’ in his head.

“The voices in my head told me to go up… I don’t feel like I have the right to take away from people’s moments,” he told presenter Seacrest.

“The Grammys are artists’ Super Bowl, and somebody’s gotta be mad that Marshawn didn’t get the ball.

“Beck is one of the nicest guys and one of the most respected musicians in the game.

“When I said that thing about respect artistry, I think it came off the wrong way and that was a mis-wording on my part,” he continued.

“Obviously Beck is one of the most respected artists, and respects artistry… when I said that thing about respect artistry, I think it came off the wrong way, and that was a mis-wording on my part because obviously Beck is one the most respected artists and respects artistry”.

West said that he would happily play a game of basketball ‘and stuff’ with the singer, however still feels that Beyoncé should have been mentioned in his winning speech.

“I felt – and this is my opinion and he’s his own man and he’s not wrong and we’ll still go play basketball and stuff [unless] he doesn’t want to do it – but I felt that even though the Grammys sometimes gives awards to people who you wouldn’t think should win in the category, as a respect to artists, we mention the other artist’s name in our speech. And that was the point I was making about it”.

We hear you, Kanye. We hear you…

On the subject of stolen moments, Kanye revealed that a collaboration with Taylor Swift is in the pipeline.

“She wants to get in the studio and we’re definitely going to go in,” he said.

“Any artist with an amazing point of view, perspective, fan base, I’m down to get in the studio and work”.

Lets never forget the look on Beyoncé’s face after that moment at the 2009 VMAs.

Classic Kanye.
