Sir Mick Jagger paid tribute to his late girlfriend L’wren Scott at a service held in her memory on Friday evening.Â
Jagger sang a final song for the fashion designer who took her own life at her home in New York City on March 14th.
The Rolling Stone frontman performed Bob Dylan’s ‘Just Like a Woman‘ as a musical tribute to his longterm partner.
Jagger and Scott started dating back in 2001.
Close friends and family turned out for the celebration of Scott’s life at the memorial service which took place in St. Bartholomew’s Church, Manhattan.
A number of well-known faces were also in attendance. Fellow Rolling Stone members Ronnie Wood and Keith Richards, actresses Julianne Moore, Sarah Jessica Parker, Meg Ryan, Renee Zellweger and Olivia Munn and film directors Martin Scorsese and Baz Luhrmann.
The editors of two prestigious fashion magazines, Vogue and Vanity Fair, Anna Wintour and Graydon Carter, were also there.
Both Jagger and Scott’s brother, Randy Bambrough, said a few words about the 49-year-old.
R&B songstress Lisa Fischer, who has performed as a backing singer with the rockers for years, also sang a beautiful rendition of ‘Amazing Grace’.
