She might be 70-years-old but straight talking Judge Judy Sheindlin has no intention of slowing down and is currently in Ireland, as she is being made Vice-President of the UCD Law Society.
The outspoken New Yorker has been touring the capital during her short stay and today filmed an interview with ex-Minister for Justice, Nora Owen for tomorrow’s episode of Midweek.
During the interview, the no nonsense TV star told the Midweek presenter that all courtrooms should have cameras, that judges should constantly have to attend educational up-skill events and why she thinks being PC is a load of ‘hogwash’.
Nora and Judy decided to use their time together to set the world to rights…
Laying into those of the population who depend on social welfare, the hard hitting legal star controversially talked about stopping social welfare payments, erradicating the welfare state mentality and even prompted Nora Owen to jokingly ask if she’d like to come back to Ireland again to give seminars on the matter.
But, it seems that the TV judge will be too busy to take Nora up on her offer because she’s just signed on for another two years of her TV show, extending her current contract to 2017.
Her show, Judge Judy, is seen by over 10 million people worldwide and has been nominated for an Emmy award on 14 occasions.
The full interview will air on Midweek Wednesday April 10th at 10pm.
