Home and Away actor Johnny Ruffo has sadly passed away

Tributes have been pouring in for the ‘Home and Away’ star who has sadly died at the age of 35.

Johnny Ruffo was best known for playing Chris Harrington on the Australian soap.

He died in hospital on November 10th, surrounded by his loving family and partner, Tahnee Sims.

Johnny’s loved ones confirmed the devastating news on Instagram this morning.

Alongside a photo of the actor, they confirmed he had passed away this week.

“It is with a heavy heart that today we had to farewell our beloved Johnny.

“Surrounded by his partner Tahnee and family, Johnny went peacefully with the support of some incredible Nurses & Doctors.”

His loved ones remembered him as charming and cheeky, as well as a very talented man.

They praised Johnny for staying so strong during this harrowing time in his life.

“Johnny was very determined and had a strong will. He battled all the way to the end and fought as hard as he could. Such a beautiful soul with so much more to give.

“We all love you Johnny and will remember you for all the joy you brought to our lives.”

Johnny was diagnosed with brain cancer in 2017. He went to the hospital with complaints of a migraine, but doctors discovered a tumour.

Following “aggressive treatment”, Johnny was given the all-clear. However, he confirmed in 2020 that the cancer had returned.

Earlier this year, Johnny said he hoped to make it to Christmas.
