John Mayer got in a pretty nasty dig at Jennifer Aniston after they broke up

John Mayer has had quite a few celebrity girlfriends in his time - but we've a feeling that not too many women will be queueing up to date him after a comment he made about ex-girlfriend Jennifer Aniston resurfaced. The singer has gone out wth everyone from Katy Perry and Taylor Swift to Jennifer Love Hewitt and Jessica Simpson. He dated Jennifer Aniston between 2008 and 2009. The actress is known to be pretty private but John shared his take on why they didn't work out - and he did not hold back. In an interview with Playboy after the split, the actor suggested that Jen, who is is years his senior, was too old for him. "In some ways I wish I could be with her. But I can’t change the fact that I need to be 32," he said. John went on to make out that she was a little behind the times. "If Jennifer Aniston knows how to use BitTorrent (an online file sharing platform), I’ll eat my fucking shoe," he continued. "One of the most significant differences between us was that I was tweeting. There was a rumour that I had been dumped because I was tweeting too much. That wasn’t it, but that was a big difference."
