Joe Jonas files to dismiss divorce case with Sophie Turner

Joe Jonas and his ex-wife Sophie Turner have decided to settle their divorce in private.

In documents obtained by Page Six, it was revealed that Jonas filed to dismiss his petition for dissolution in Miami after he and the actress attended mediation for four days and came to a temporary child custody agreement.

The court documents state the former couple reached “various agreements” and plan to “pursue an amicable resolution of all issues.”

Joe filed for divorce in Miami on September 1st, with sources close to him claiming that the ‘Game Of Thrones‘ actress had been out partying too much.

It comes as earlier this week the two – who have been going through a tough time in the media – shared a joint statement after reaching their custody agreement

Posting it to Instagram it read: “After a productive and successful mediation, we have agreed that the children will spend time equally in loving homes in both the US and the UK. We look forward to being great co-parents.”

This comes after Sophie accused her ex-husband of withholding their children’s passports. She called for “the immediate return of the children wrongfully removed or wrongfully retained,” with Sophie’s legal team asserting the “wrongful retention” began on September 20th.

She later produced a letter allegedly written by her estranged husband that indicated that the couple had agreed to raise their daughters in England just three months before he filed for divorce.

In it, he writes about his hopes to see the family spending their future in a property located in Wallingford, Oxford.

With their new custody arrangement, Joe and Sophie will each get two weeks at a time with their daughters Willa and Delphine up until then. They will also be allowed to travel to anywhere in the US and the UK.

The status of Sophie’s UK divorce petition is unknown.
