Joaquin Phoenix is engaged, that is if his latest interview with David Letterman is anything to go by.
The actor, best known for starring in films including Walk The Line and Gladiator, told the chat show host that he popped the question to his yoga instructor.
He revealed: “This is the crazy part of the story. We started dating and I think she’s the one. I proposed to her and she said yes.”
Considering Joaquin’s history of winding the TV legend up (we all remember that awkward interview where he gave one word answers), we’re not surprised David looks sceptical.

Good Morning America also set the record straight after talking to the actor. It tweeted: “Joaquin Phoenix – not engaged. Says he needed to spice up his “story” a little bit to capture the audience. People do love engagements…”
