Jennifer Zamparelli has landed a role in The Rocky Horror Show
Jennifer Zamparelli has confirmed a major career move after she stepped down from 2FM in 2024.
The presenter has been announced as ‘The Narrator’ in The Rocky Horror Show.
Speaking about the major career change, Jennifer said she’s overjoyed to be joining Jason Donovan on stage.
Donovan will reprise his role as Frank N’ Furter following a sold-out Australian Tour in 2024.
The two performers will be reunited after starring in the 2013 production of Pricilla Queen of the Desert.
Speaking on the cast announcement, Jennifer said:
“I’m absolutely thrilled to be taking on the role of the Narrator in the iconic musical The Rocky Horror Show when it comes to Dublin in August.”
Jennifer said the role has been a favourite of hers for so long.
“It’s sexy, outrageously funny and it’s going to be so much fun working with such a brilliant cast including my old pal – the legend that is Jason Donovan.
“It’s certainly been a while, but I can’t wait to get started,” she said.
Zamparelli thrilled over her next career move
As an actor, Jennifer has performed in Priscilla Queen of the Desert at Bord Gáis Energy Theatre, as well as RTÉ’s Republic of Telly, a hidden camera show: The Fear and the award-winning sitcom Bridget & Eamon, which she also co-created.
As a broadcaster, Jennifer has presented Dancing with the Stars Ireland for the last six years.
She also hosted her own radio show on RTÉ 2FM.
Her sharp wit and presence continue to make her a standout in Irish entertainment.
The Rocky Horror Show is the story of two squeaky clean college kids–Brad and his fiancée Janet.
When by a twist of fate, their car breaks down outside a creepy mansion whilst on their way to visit their former college professor, they meet the charismatic Dr Frank-n-Furter.
It is an adventure they’ll never forget, filled with fun, frolics, frocks, and frivolity.
Jennifer Zamparelli will star in The Rocky Horror Show from August 11th to 16th at the Bord Gáis Energy Theatre.
