Jennifer Lawrence Denies “Terrible Rumor” with Facebook Statement

The actress addressed reports about her and David O. Russell arguing on set

Jennifer Lawrence has spoken out about the claims that she and director David O. Russell were arguing on the set of their new film Joy.

The actress made a statement on her official Facebook page, describing the report as “tabloid malarkey.”

She wrote: “Hey guys! It’s Jen! I know I don’t go on here a lot because I can barely work email but there’s been a terrible rumor going around the last 24 hours so I wanted to clear it up.

“David O. Russell is one of my closest friends and we have an amazing collaborative working relationship. I adore this man and he does not deserve this tabloid malarkey. This movie is going great and I’m having a blast making it!”

Earlier this week TMZ reported that the pair, who also worked together on Silver Linings Playbook and American Hustle, were screaming at each other on set.

At the time a spokesperson for Fox 2000 allegedly said that a heated exchange did happen but that it was just method acting.
