Jenna Marbles engaged to fellow YouTuber Julien Solomita

YouTuber Julien Solomita has announced his engagement to long-term girlfriend and former YouTuber Jenna Mourey. The couple have been together for over eight years. Mourey, better known by her YouTube name Jenna Marbles, was particularly popular on the platform for several years. In 2020, after apologising for a number of videos from her past, Jenna announced that she would be leaving YouTube for the foreseeable future. Since then, she hasn't been active on any of her social channels and appears to be enjoying a quiet life. Julien, on the other hand, has continued to make content, particularly on his Twitch streaming channel. It was there that he announced the engagement. "A little while ago, I asked Jenna to marry me and she said yes," Julien said. "So we are engaged." "I'm very excited, and it feels good to get the words out because I wanted to tell you for a while and I didn't because it was giving me anxiety so I just kind of held onto it. "And I think today I realized it was kind of flipped, and it was giving me more anxiety to kind of hold on to it, so there's the news." While live-streaming, Solomita shared a picture of Jenna's hand with the engagement ring. The vlogger shared that Jenna bought him a ring as well. Over the last year, Solomita's been providing occasional updates on Jenna's life. Last August, they cancelled their podcast. At the time, she said: "I haven't been on the internet for a while. I'm getting help and I'm just being a person right now." Her decision to stop vlogging came shortly after she apologised for videos in which she impersonated Nicki Minaj and rapped a verse which had a racist line in it. "All that matters is that people were offended," Jenna said. "I think I'm just going to move on from this channel for now. I want to make sure that the things I put into the world are not hurting anyone."
