Jeff Brazier opens up about how he and his sons cope with loss over the Christmas season

It can't be easy for them.

Christmas is a magical time of year for many, but it can also be tough. Jeff Brazier has opened up about how he and his two sons cope around the festive season. Nine years ago, Jeff lost his wife, and his son's lost their mother, to cervical cancer.

The TV presenter, 39, took to Twitter to talk about Jade, and how  creative she was during the festive season.

Jeff also shared advice on how to cope with the loss of a loved one during this time of year.

"It's affected my family a great deal, in the early stages, it took two Christmas’ to work out that it didn’t matter how many presents we had under the tree," he explained.

He continued:

"If we didn’t recognise their loss then it felt like there was an elephant in the room. We make the day about the loss first and foremost, their mum, and make it about the occasion secondary to that."

"My children want to celebrate Christmas but it’s just different. But it’s OK that it’s different."
