Jane the Virgin’s Gina Rodriguez is engaged and it is just the cutest

We love this couple.

Jane the Virgin star, Gina Rodriguez, has confirmed her engagement to now-fiancé Joe LoCicero. The couple met on the set of Jane the Virgin when Joe played a stripper on the show and they have been dating for almost two years. Fans starting speculating about a possible engagement last week when she posted a photo on Instagram celebrating her birthday. "I am [engaged]! He's the best. He's the f**king best. We've been engaged for, like, a month - I've kept it secret for a while."

Gina talked about the reason behind withholding the public engagement announcement and the conflict between loving her fans' support but wanting to maintain her privacy.

"I don't even really want to say it's happening. I just want to live! I think there's a huge blessing in the fact that people care. That's a beautiful thing, so that feels really good. But another part of me wants to keep a little something that's just mine, 'cause there's not many things I have like that anymore."

We completely get that, Gina. An engagement is exciting but it's also a huge next step in a relationship that you might want to keep private. Doesn't mean we aren't going to get excited though.
