Jamie Oliver finds it difficult to combine his family life with his job as one of the world’s most famous celebrity chefs.

The Essex born food god said it can be difficult not spending time with his wife Jules and their four children, Poppy, 10, Daisy, nine, Petal, three and 22 month old Buddy.

According to The Press Association, the TV chef and healthy food campaigner has toured around the world for his career and has opened restaurants in America, Australia, Canada and Dubai.

Jamie said: “It’s got a bit harder since I’ve had kids. I’ve got four kids now. I don’t know where they all came from!

“Getting large amounts of time to submerge myself has changed somewhat but they’re getting a bit older now, so they can either come with me… or we can just Skype!”

The star has teamed up with Canadian chef Derek Dammann as they prepare to open a new Montreal restaurant, Maison Publique.

“Derek is a beautiful boy, probably one of the most talented chefs I’ve worked with. He’s a Canadian local boy and he’s obsessed by local food and there’ll be no issues.

“It will be Canadian through and through, local talent through and through, and literally all I’m doing is helping him with the backing, boring stuff, the business side, and lending him the money to do it in the first place.

“It’s really his restaurant, we’re doing it together but it’s his baby, and hopefully that’s going to be something I do more.”

Oliver is currently recruiting staff for his Irish restaurant, which will be located in Dundrum Town Centre in Dublin.
